Evening all.
Back in March 2010 I was diagnosed with anxiety disorder much to my disbelief, I didn't feel I had much to be anxious about but after a couple of panic attacks, blood tests, MRI of the brain and chest X-ray all to which showed up all clear I finally accepted this and started to take Citalopram on the doctors recommendation.
This started a slow process of feeling better, the days became easier to get through although I was still experiencing lots of head pressure and a very airy feeling within my chest almost like I had too much air.
Anyway long story short about a month or 2 ago I was visiting a friend of mine and I'd had a rough train journey feeling anxious, breathless, once I got to my friends house I sat on the sofa, felt alright, but as I stood up and stretched I had a horrible tingle spread all over my body and it made me feel very hot. Naturally I panicked as this was the first time I'd felt this feeling. I dismissed it as anxiety and carried on feeling better, but still with the airy feeling in my chest. Then about a month ago I was laying in bed and had awful back pain within the centre of my back up near my shoulder blades and the pain shot around my front diaphram area and I experienced this horrible tingling and extreme heat once again. It eventually cooled off.
Fast forward to today and I had been feeling better still, after nearing 2 and a half months on Citalopram, the odd airy feeling and heartburn but no other problems. Then as I got into work this morning (and I've worked through this whole time) my hands were feeling abit numb in my finger tips and then I started to feel a strange wave feeling out of my chest, this pain shot through my back and once again I had the tingly sensation. Could this really be still part of the anxiety?
I thought these pills were meant to cure this feelings but issues remain. As I type my muscles feel heavy and achey and I feel generally quite poor. I also feel a feeling like my forearms are being pricked by something.
I am heading back to the doctors but I'm just looking for anyone elses experiences.
Thanks in advance.
Shaun
