I would like to know what is happening with hemoglobin-based blood substitutes boost? Are those approved? I have been hearing a lot about those new products that should help a lot in emergency situations but no one is telling anything? What is going on? Are those products actually dangerous? Are they approved anywhere?

Well, I would not call them dangerous since they do help a lot in those emergency situations you have mentioned but they do carry a certain risk with them and that is why it is still not approved in US, although it is in Russia and Europe. I guess several more studies will have to be done before these substitutes get a green light for a wide distribution in US.
