I'm a 40 year old male, this problem has come on recently. Any time i feel as though i'm dropping off to sleep i'm jolted with what i can only describe as a flush running up my body. It's not painful but the feeling it gives me is awful.

I also feel as though my body is shaking at times. I've recently been diagnosed with costochondritis which basically means that i have chronic chest pain on the left side of my chest for which my GP prescribed sodium tablets.

I've had an ECG, two chest x-rays, blood pressure tested twice and a blood test. Earlier this year i had an MRI scan for a pulsing sound in my right ear which came back clear.

Any help would be much appreciated.
