Hi I'm 21 weeks pregnant, and have a few problems but I keep getting brushed off, for a start my back pain is crippling me in my hips, lower back and down my legs, no pain relief has worked. I also have no energy whatsoever but I'm not anaemic. And finally yesterday night I had an episode where I was slurring my words, forgetful, My partner accused me of drinking,I had cleaned the whole house and wore myself out could it be that? I'm so Ill today, I was so healthy in my last pregnancy, I feel I'm getting no answers.

Emma,
See your doctor please. Let them know about the slurring speech.
It may gestational diabetes. It can happen, usually around this time or a little later. It can account for your slurring speech.
As to the pain relievers, what are you taking? Let your doctor know about that too.
Good luck.

They've told me to take c-codamol and paracetamol, which I've done but it makes no difference, and the c-codamol makes me sick. I had a scan last week and everything seemed perfect, and they took my bloods early on and nothings come back, can it just develop?

Yes Emma, it can just develop.
Just my opinion but I wouldn't recommend taking co-codamol while pregnant. Paracetemol
The point is, slurring of speech is not normal. Don't just ignore this. While it may be gestational diabetes it can indicate other serious problems including stroke. It needs to be checked out.
Good luck.

My symptoms are slurring words, losing balance and not paying an attention. Can you help? How to treat this?
