Hi, I am 29 years old and I am in my third month of pregnancy. Everything is just fine but one thing worries me. My glucose level is elevated and has been like that for the last two blood tests and that scares me a lot. Can you tell me something about it; my doctor says it is nothing to worry about. Should I trust his words?

You should. We are probably talking about gestational diabetes. This is a condition that happens only during pregnancy and afterwards, those symptoms are gone. Although, you should be aware that women that had this gestational diabetes have a higher risk of developing diabetes later in life. And GD is not caused by the lack of insulin, so you don't have to worry about that.
