Bartholins gland/cyst removal?

i had the removal aug1st. i am in excruciating pain 7 Days post op I can't do anything but sit in the bed lay in the bed with ice on my vagina I have to pee standing up in the shower because bending in any way shape or form feels like I'm splitting in half with fire shoved up my area the most pain I've ever felt morphine was given to me I went to the ER Sunday it is not even touching the pain if I would have known this was that painful I would have just left the cyst in nightmare my bruising is so bad and my swelling is so bad I am purple inside and out the entire area I do not understand these insurance companies and doctors sending people home the day of surgery is absolutely unacceptable this is a serious surgery and we should be admitted for a week I feel like I'm going to die

I am scheduled to have bartholin cyst removed... the dr. said she felt more comfortable with just doing the cyst and not the gland right now. I am reading alot of posts on here where ya'll have had the gland removed and the recovery time seems to be brutal... Does anyone have any experience with the cyst removal and recovery?

Not sure if you will see this message, but I am located in Jersey. I would interested in having your NYC doctor do the procedure on me. I Have been having recurring cysts for 6 years on both sides. My next decision is having both glands removed. If it’s possible, could you please let me know the name of the doctor and hospital in NYC?
