My husband has been diagnosed with bell's palsy just yesterday and to tell you the truth I am still in shock, even though it looks he has taken it very well. What are our options? Doctor said that there is a great possibility that this condition will past on its own, but I would like to get informed, just in case. Is bell's palsy surgery an option here?

I think that you should listen to what your doctor had told him. Bell's palsy in most cases really is gone after around 3 weeks, so it is safe to wait for that period t pass, and afterwards, if there is no progress, to take other options in concern. As for Bell's palsy surgery, it is performed, even though there are doubts about its effectiveness in the case of Bell's palsy.
