I've been diagnosed with Bell's palsy and I don't know much about this condition. It affected the left side of my face. I'm scared and worried that my face will never be the same. Will I be paralyzed permanently or this condition is recoverable?

Hello,
Bell's palsy is not well understood but it is a condition that tends to correct itself within a few months with no obvious repercussion. Back in my college days studying neuroscience, I had to take clinical conference and I had an opportunity to see 5 different patients with Bell's palsy. They were all women between the ages of 30 and 40 and all of them recovered within a few months. I saw for myself. I was told by MDs that this was generally the case. I wouldn't worry at at the moment, chances are you will be okay. Just try to relax and take one day at a time.
