Hello, guys. My kid has angina. His throat is red like blood. His doctor recommended biocillin shots. My son is very gentle, so I wonder how painful these shots are. I wouldn’t like my son to experience a certain kind of trauma. I would appreciate if anyone could tell me something more about this. Thanks.

Hello. In my honest opinion, you are being overprotective to your son. You haven’t mentioned his age, but never mind. Little babies get shots. Biocillin maybe burns a little, but it isn’t something unbearable. You must strengthen him. He will be prepared better for life. Biocillin is an excellent antibiotic. He should have it if he is not allergic to penicillin products. I hope you will follow my advices. Bye!

As a child, I had a biocillin shot for strep throat. It did hurt when they gave it to me in my butt, but it didn't hurt more than any other shot I received. (In childhood, I remember shots hurting worse when they gave it to me in my thigh instead of my butt.) An injection though painful is sometimes necessary if you want your child to be healthy. The few moments of pain in a shot is highly worth the good health that the injection helps to give. Since I was an inquisitive child and still am at 38 years old, I asked the doctor what it was and how was it similar to a penicillin shot. The doctor at the time said biocillin was a stronger or longer-acting form of penicillin.
