Sometimes, the hormonal effect of oral contraceptives can stimulate the delicate lining of the cervical canal to grow out onto the surface of the cervix. This is a condition called ‘ectropion’. Although it is benign, it can look alarming. The tissue can be fragile and bleed easily with contact.

OMG!! I feel so relieved that I found this site and I thought I was the only one who bleed during intercourse. I didn't realize this is a common problem for some of us women and I was hoping there might be some answers or solutions to this annoying problem that we are experiencing. When you thought you were super wet and when you're done, you discovered you are bleeding and your partner and sheets are covered with blood. I noticed it mostly happen if I'm not super lubricated when my partner just get right into action. My current partner doesn't seem to bother by my bleeding, he just cleans himself up and never freaks out like he knew it's normal or something. However, I know I have had Cervical polyps and was removed by my OBGYN and she thinks the reason why I bleed during intercourse. Like every women is saying, it's embrassing and annoying. Is that a permanent solution to this bleeding during intercourse problem??

I have exactly the same problem - I have been bleeding heavily for 6 weeks and I have no idea why. The doctor prescribed me with contraception pills on top of my implant (which you should not bleed on and which I never bled on before) but I have took them for two weeks and they have not worked. I have been reading on this site about deep penetration and get concerned because my boyfriend goes very deep but I like it it never hurts me lol. We do doggy a lot so very deep penetration but this bleeding started before I met him two weeks after I had an anal assault. I really do not understand what is going on or more importantly how to stop it! Obviously my boyfriend isn't happy I am heavily bleeding all the time.
