I have been experiencing problems with my period for the last three weeks. I got my period normally, on time as always but the thing is, it hasn’t stopped ever since. I have been bleeding three weeks after my period was about to stop. It is not as heavy as normal period but it still makes me worried. I have been rather exhausted lately. Does this have anything to do with the period-problem? Any ideas what this could be? Thanks

There could be a couple of underlying problems that have caused your prolonged bleeding. Three weeks is way to long. I suggest you see a gynecologist and have yourself examined. This prolonged spotting can be due to cervical inflammation or vaginal irritation. The feeling of tiredness may be due to excessive loss of blood, so why don’t you have your blood count checked as well.

My period started over two weeks ago and was really heavy. It hasn't stopped since, but the flow has fluctuated from heavy to very light pretty frequently (once or twice a day). I'm so tired that i get easily confused by simple tasks and i sleep through 3 alarms frequently. I had a pap smear 3 weeks ago and was tested for all kinds of STDs, but everything was perfectly normal. A doctor checked my cervix and uterus again this morning and said everything was normal but had no suggestions for my fatigue. Finals week is coming and i can't even stay up for an hour to study. =( What is wrong with me?
