Im 24, 165cms, nearly 90kgs,

and i have just been diagnosed with gall stones and blood clots in my lungs around a month ago, and had a baby 3 months prior :-D all seemed fine after the birth, but a month ago started getting massive pains and vomiting after eating anything fatty or anything with chicken stock/flavouring in it. And it was just by chance that they found the blood clots in my lungs.
Since being diagnosed, I have been into hospital with vomiting and intense pain aroung twice a week, as it's just trial and error to what i can eat without having a reaction.

Now I'm on warferin tablets each night to reduce the chance of getting more clots, and I'm also on iron tablets since having the baby.

I'm not a big drinker, but would like to know whether it would be safe to have a glass or two every now and then? Or what thype of alcohol would be better to try? I already have to watch everything else I eat, and avoid all fatty foods, milk products, eggs, green leafy vegetables and chicken flavouring, it would be so much easier if everyone reacted the same way

Hi Alexia85

Sorry to rain on your party, but you should check with your doctor or pharmacist on this one. Warfarin is a very strong medication that can interact with a vast range of foods. :-(

Hope this helps - let us know you go.

Regards, Olwen :-)

May I ask what happened after this? My son-in-law has just been diagnosed with a gallstone on his lung. He has been having the exact same conditions you describe.

Did you have surgery? How long ago was this? How are you doing now?
