Hi - can I ask you if you went to the neuro-ophthamologist and what they said? I live in Bali and my girlfriend has this same thing, and I'm trying to help her figure it out. Many thanks.

This happens to me too. As well as seeing a really bright light with my eyes closed, my eyes also burn and squint as if I am staring at the sun. Horrible.

SOLVED - For my GF, anyway. She went to see a Ear Nose and Throat doctor about 10 days ago, and he said her sinuses were full of fluid and pressing on her nerves. He drained out the fluid and she hasn't seen the light anymore after that.
