Hi. I am 35 years old w/two older children and very normal periods every 30 days. My husband and I haven't been the safest recently as far as protection goes. It is 10 days before my next period is due and I am having brown spotting on the toilet paper. NEVER had this happen before. Could I be pregnant?? Or be concerned about cancer??
~thanks

Brown Discharge is normal in women, some notice it shortly before or after ovulation, and it is especially common in women on BC.

If you have not been as safe as you could have been, pregnancy is a possibility.

As women get older, their cycles may also shorten or lengthen. But for further reassurance, perhaps a trip to the gyno may be in order.
