Ive had a slight pain occurring at the back of my tongue for about a month now. I especially feel it when i open my mouth wide or move my tongue in certain positions. This pain sparked some curiosity so i decided to stick my finger in my throat where i found a small lump on the back of my tongue(too far back for me to see in a mirror). I used to smoke occasionally and am worried it could be cancer. Any help is appreciated, thank you.

I'm surprised that you didn't gag yourself with your finger.
If you have found a lump, and it is associated with pain in the tongue, it is time to go see a doctor.
Schedule a visit right away and get this checked out.
It probably isn't cancer, but does need to be treated.
If it IS cancer, the sooner you catch it, the better off.
Good get it checked out!
