On two occasions I have had a bump on my labia. Last time it was on the right side of the labia majora. This time it's on the left side of my labia minora. This one is very close to the vaginal opening.
It does not hurt or have discharge. The only reason I know it's there is b/c I had some tenderness while wiping. It is tender to the touch. It's just a little raw-feeling. It is not crusty or discolored in appearance. It's just a small flesh-colored bump. In fact, I don't think it is noticeable except for the fact that I can feel tenderness from the area and actually examined it. Otherwise, it's very small. The area feels raw, but i'm unsure as to whether that's from me examining it or not.
My questions are:
1) Does this sound like a subaceous cyst?
2) Is there anything I can do to get rid of it?
3) Is there any way to prevent getting one again? I bathe regularly and usually just use Dove soap.
4) Could this be caused by oral sex? My dh's beard was pretty sharp and uncomfortable during our last escapade. (sorry tmi!)
And on another note:
5) My dh and I are going through infertility. Is it true that an imbalance in hormones can cause a subaceous cyst? If so, is it possible that it's something that is also causing my hormones to be whacky, causing the infertility as well as a cyst?
We are considered "Unexplained", but I have this sneaking suspicion that it's me. I don't feel 'right'. I just feel a little 'off'. My periods are heavier, i'm getting night sweats, hot flashes, etc. My E2, FSH, and TSH are normal. I'm 29 years old. I have a 4yo and a 2yo.
Is there anything else I should check that may point to a relation between the infertility/hormones and this weird bump?
Thank you!!!
