i have a bump/ulcer im not sure what its called on my vagina it started as a bump then turned into a little red ulcer i guess. ive had it for 5 days now i went to my obgyn and he did a test to see if its herpes he said the results wont be back until a week. im worried. ive been with my fiance for a year now and only have had sex with him and hes only had sex with me we dont think its herpes because we have been tested for stds before and came out negative idk what this could be its only one bump/ulcer. not a whole bunch please help!

Did it start out as a 'solid' bump similar to a pimple but without a head? Is there a hair in the ulceration? Reason I ask is once in awhile I'll get a hard bump that eventually either goes away or I scratch or break open on accident. Both times I had my Dr. check he ran tests and everything came back fine. Both times I had a tiny cystic ulcer caused by an ingrown hair. Not uncommon in women who shave.
I'd always have a Dr. check just in case it's something else. But while you wait for the results check the sore well and see if there's a hair caught under the skin!

yeah it did! it was one solid bump then it had white and i poked it with a needle and now it looks like an ulcer or whatever you call them i went to the doctor and he swabbed it to test it but it takes a week for it to come back
i do shave regularly and it looks like there might be one i cant see it that well. is it possible that it is one then?

There's a really good chance it's just an ingrown hair. I get them a LOT. My OB/GYN told me they're fairly common. Some women who shave also get small bacterial cysts from the pore getting a slight infection. It those are allowed to progress too much you can develop a boil which hurts! If that's what it is an antibiotic will knock it out. If it's just an ingrown hair the hair should eventually surface and can be plucked to speed healing. You could ask your boyfriend/husband to check for possible ingrown hair. (trust me...way more humbling things in life! lol).
Honestly, I wouldn't stress yet.
I know, any changes or abnormalities immediately worry us (and being attentive is a GREAT thing!!).
I've had great success with Prep-H to dry the sore. Try to be careful and not nick it with the razor!

Did you ever find out if it was an std I have the same exact problem i am really worried. I have been crying for days but mines had 2 hairs in the inside and I plucked them out but it still hurts .
