Hi folks,
The other day my leg was itching like mad! I noticed that on the front of my shin about two inches under my knee there was a hard bump. I wouldnt say it is that swollen , but it is definately a bump. There isnt really any pain associated with it, but sometimes it itches, and I get this weird tingling feeling in that location. Any ideas on what this could be? Could it be a bone spur? does anyone else get bumps on their shin? Should I worry?
Thank you so very much. Any input is greatly welcomed and appreciated.

This might be something you've thought of, but does it look like a bite at all? I can't think of why an injury would itch unless there's some kind of foreign material in that bump.

I am going to hope that it's just a bite or something temporary, but it seems to be on the bone itself.

I have no clue what the bump is.
Does it bother you at all other than to itch or sometimes tingle?
Is it more pronounced after exercise or other activity?
Do heat or cold exacerbate it?
I have a lymph node behind my ear that gets irritated and starts to hurt and feels like a bump on the bone. (I know, not what yours is, but I can visualize what you mean, though.)

It looks as though the bump is actually a raised bruise and its very hard to the touch (like part of the bone). There are other bruises along the shin that appeared today. I am worried. The left shin is tender today and the raised bruise bump thing is still itching. I think it may be some kind of stress injury? I am kind of worried.

That looks like a scarab beetle under the skin. Anyone seen The Mummy? :umno:
Good call getting it checked out. Let us know what the doc says.

I began running regularly a couple of months ago. I began to notice these bumps you relate like a week ago. They are exactly the way you describe them : Bumps over the shin bone, they dont hurt and feel like they were part of the bone! Anybody knows anything about this??
