i also have both feet burning. All my blood tests and emgs came out fine. Dr. put me on neurotin 900mg. Doesn't relieve the pain at all. Am running out of options. Any relief you get that you can share with me would be greatly appreciated. Good luck to you and hopefully you will get relief soon.

I have the same feeling of heat. Its about the size of a dime mabe. It started in the top of my toes. Then at the end of my toes. But the funny thing is that it is not only in my feet now, I also get that feeling on my elbows or fingers sometimes on the knees and thighs. Its not a feeling that reocurs several times a day but it is all through my body not just my feet. I wish some one would know wha it is. Just phantom heat like if someone turned on a match by my skin but w no pain.

Recommend you follow a doctor's evaluation and if she/he cannot give you a definitive answer, ask for a referral to a specialist. Also, before seeing specialist, ask your regular doctor to consult with any/all specialists you might be referred to see. You really need a doctor or doctor's help with this.

How are you feeling Doris? I have this pain as well and have been on Gabapentin 300mg. It isn't really helping at all. I am going back to the Neurologist next week for test results from an MRI I had a few weeks ago. This is a very bad pain that I have 10-15 times a day. My Grandmother had this type of pain years ago, and nothing was every really done about it back then. I wish I could get some relief as well. Will let everyone know what I hear back from the Neurologist.

I have had burning on the tops of my feet for a couple years now. I have nerve pain in my legs too, mostly my thighs. I also had dizziness and unsteady gait.
I get headaches often & will sometimes have a headache for a week straight. But it wasn't until I had the worst head pain I have ever experienced - where I couldn't walk, couldn't talk - all I could do was scream and cry. I went to so many drs and had so many ER visits I can't even count.
Finally had a contrast MRI done & discovered I had a Chiari Malformation. When I had those SEVERE "headaches" as the ER called them, I was actually having brain swelling due to my CSF being unable to escape my skull & flow into my spinal cord. This is a serious, life threatening event that so many drs & nurses would say to me "well maybe if you stopped crying your head would feel better" ?!?! Lunatics!!!
I am now 1 year post op Chiari Malformation Decompression surgery (where they remove a portion of your skull so the CSF has room to escape). I have only had 1 head episode since.
Moral to this story? Sometimes it takes connecting the dots, lots of research & NEVER accepting medical professionals dismissal when YOU KNOW THERE IS SOMETHING SERIOUSLY WRONG WITH YOUR BODY!!! You have to be your health care advocate because no one else will! There's so many times I could have died because of re****s with licenses to practice medicine!
P.S. A Chiari Malformation DOES NOT show up on a CT scan (which is the only thing they can or will do in the ER) only an MRI (preferably with contrast).
Good luck!

Hello,

Last week i started to feel a burining pain on the top of my second toe on my left foot. The pain would only last for about 3-5 minutes, but then it would come back again after 30 minutes or so. I ignored the pain but it started getting worse and the burining pain would start lasting longer and longer, and come back quicker and quicker. It's been a week now and the burning pain has spread from the top of my second toe to the whole top of my foot. The pain starts on the toe and in about 5 minutes my whole foot is on fire. The pain lasts for about 30 minutes now and goes away, but comes back 10 minutes later. The pain feels like rubbing/touching a blister or when you put your freezing hands in hot water, point is, it's ery unconfortable. I looked for anyone who had similar symptomes, but no one is havnig the exact same probelm. If anyone knows what this might be I would be appriciate any advice or the name of whatever this is

Thank you.

To: Fleurrrr:     don't be so sure.  I am just getting on sites for the past few weeks the bottom of my soles of my feet have been getting hot for no good reason.  Initially read diabetes or maybe thyroid problems.  Haven't been tested, could be either, am somewhat overweight, but of good health except migraines and back lower neck problems that caused dizziness, vertigo and other things, was initially diagnosed with Menieres disease but after much searching on my part I believe I've had Basimal Migraines.  No Cat scan or Ultrasound found anything wrong, but my neck pops only when I am going into migraine mode and I know this stems from back of neck.  I've been in many accidents and things to my head over the years.  Anyway, I just saw this this morning, and I pray to God I won't have anything to do with this MS, but when I looked up this to do with it, it rang a bell as well as with what you are saying.  Google  CCSVI
