Ever since i can remember, i have always thought that hunger was a burning feeling until a couple of months ago. I found out that nobody else around me felt hunger as burning but as emptiness.
I get a burning pain just above the bellybutton about four hours after i have had something to eat, unless it is acidic in which case the burning normally comes in about 1 - 2 hours. Eating is the only thing that takes the burning away.
There is peptic ulcers running in the family but i have got tested for h. pylori and i don't have it.
What could the burning be caused by?
