My doctor says that if I take my pill the day of my period, I'm protected immediately. If I take it any other day, wait a week. I also called again an the receptionist told me the same thing. I started on the day of my period so I wouldn't forget. Then 10 days later I had unprotected sex it was the heat of the moment and he came inside me. I wasn't really nervous until 3 days later then I took plan b. am I safe? Was plan b necessary? HELP!!!! Ever since I been buying condoms just incase my bf doesn't have them. I'm still nervous and I know that's probably delaying my period. Which isn't due for another week.

i read all over the Internet hat a news study shows even though it's less effective, but you can still take plan b 72-10 hours...I am not sure if I took 72 Orr like 76 hours...
