Recently I’ve noticed yellow vaginal discharge that had unpleasant smell. I’ve noticed it every time when went to the bathroom. Also I’ve developed itching in vagina. This entire thing is so uncomfortable and worries me so I wanted to make an immediate appointment at gyn. I’ve never been at gyn before; I’m 18 and have been sexually active since last year and a half. But yesterday I got my period and actually I haven’t expected it yet. Can I go to the gynaecologist during menstruation?

You can not have exam while bleeding. Your gyn should put that medical tool in your vagina and look at it. She needs to see what your cervix mucosa is like and if there are any changes on it. Also vaginal discharge is mixed with blood and she can not have the sample for making diagnosis. You should wait for your period to end and than visit your gyn.
