I had unprotected anal sex years ago, i cant even remember how long ago but easily more than a whole 3 years ago im guessing, before i really even started to produce semen. Recently my girlfriend and I have been discussing sex and i want to make sure im completely clean before i put her at risk, i've done some research and read that symptoms of Chlamydia can be chunky and yellow-ish ejaculate and pain while urinating, i noticed my ejaculate has a light yellow hue to it but not noticeably dark yellow and it sometimes comes out a little chunky. It sometimes burns when im peeing but nothing thats re-occuring at all every time i urinate it isnt very often at all. I dont have cloudy white discharge or anything though. i just want to be absolutely sure im clean, and im wondering if these are just minor forms of symptoms of chlamydia but also why would they be showing up this late after more than 3 years??? please help! :/

Hi Harry,

Even without chlamydia guys can have "chunky" semen.  It is also not uncommon for the color to be more yellowish, especially if you haven't ejaculated in a while.

The problem is, you can carry chlamydia without showing ANY symptoms.  The only way to know for sure is to be tested.  It is called the "silent disease" because most people who have it, don't know it.  Use protection.  It will help protect both of you.

Hope it helps.

You have normal semen.

The only way to know if you have chlamydia is to be tested.

okay, thanks. and how high would you say are the risks of getting chlamydia from unprotected anal intercourse?

The risk is high, if your partner had it.  Again, they may not know.

Chlamydia is a bacteria.  You won't see it.  Most people exhibit NO symptoms.  It is easily treated with antibiotics.

could they have had it even if they'd never had anal before at all? (i dont know if this is relevant but i only gave it and didnt receive) do the antibiotics have to be prescribed by a doctor?

Yes they could have it if they've had sex before.  If they haven't had sex, of any kind, then it is not likely.
You can still get an STD by being the "giver."  During sex tiny tears can open in your mucous membranes, the vagina, foreskin, anus, etc.  You may never even see any blood, but it opens a path for infection.

Yes, antibiotics need to be prescribed by a doctor.
