Sorry that it took so long to reply! Nothing showed up at all for my tests. This was a super comprehensive testing too, and nothing was found. Gladly, I have pretty much kicked the habit now as well. :) So, keep yourself very hydrated, give yourself at least a week or so of no tobacco products and you should pass as well. Not sure what my previous post said because I didn't look at it before posting this, but I was a pack a day smoker for many years as well. I quit cold turkey, and had gone one week without smoking, messed up and had one, then went another week without smoking.. Lots of water and cranberry juice. Results came back perfect.

I am a nurse and my mom has stage 4 lung cancer, her father died of lung cancer it is ugly and their quality of life was horrendous. I would hope that people actually get help with their efforts to quit. If you and I are reading these blogs, don't you think Dr.'s and employers are too? My best wishes are with you and the little girl being subjected to a really good example as to how far someone addicted to nicotine will go to keep smoking.

Im having a blood test in 10 days for gastric bypass surgery and I stopped smoking last week....I've read that it could be two weeks to get the nicotine out of your system. I haven't puffed at all and am very nervous about the test. Should I be okay?

I finally called a drug testing lab and the tech said 3 to 5 days to pass a blood nicotine test.
