i have hyperparathyrodism and was tested with blood work, ultrasound and urine test. Referred to a surgeon. Had sestambi scans and 2 day swallow pill and more scans. Surgeon said it looks like 2 adenomas bilateral. Can I still have minimally invasive surgery? I also take blood thinners for a mechanical heart valve and atrial fibs. How big a surgery is this? If they have to look at both sides, can it still be minimally invasive? Has anyone had this? How was the recovery? How many parathyroid glands can u afford to lose?
thak you.
