I went for deep cleaning on Friday and had 7 shots for 1/2 of my mouth. Today is Monday and I'm still going crazy with a sinus headache, sneezing and constant running nose. The minute the hygienist was giving me the shot in my front gum, I said I needed tissues because I felt a tingling feeling through my nose. From then on, I can't stop my nose from running. Hope this ends soon! Not so sure I'm going back for the 2nd half of my mouth!!

Same thing happened to me today. My dentist gave 3 shots & on the last one I had a pain like never before. A burning sensation that spread through my mouth/face. I legit almost passed out. I had to take the nitrous off my nose & take a few deep breaths of air. Afterwards the whole left side of my face is having issues. None stop running nose (like a constant watery drip) sneezing & my left eye is itchy! Never had anything like this before!

Someone mentioned that it lasts 3 - 5 days. It's true. Today is my 4th day and the sneezing and nose blowing has finally started to subside. Good Luck!

I'm so glad I read these comments. I too went to dentist yesterday for two front teeth out. She injected me three times with novocaine,upper gum,side of nose and a long injection to the roof of my mouth she said to freezer nerves that can be affected in the mouth roof and have to admit I thought this injection was never gonna end and it did really hurt. As anesthetic started to wear off my nose started running profusely and constant sneezing, with extreme itchy/tingly feeling in the nose. .Injected at 3 yesterday, started wearing off about 6 and as typing this at 4.40 the following day, I have the same symptoms still and one very red sore nose. What helps the symptoms?

I went in Friday for 2 teeth pulling on the bottom. It is now Monday and i have been going through hell with the running nose sneezing, headache and running eyes, it is getting no better. This has happened to me before but it was upper teeth that were worked on so I thought it would be OK with the bottom ones, but no it is as bad if not worse. I feel like I am going crazy with it. I keep a wad of tissue shoved up my nose to stop it running. It is like having the worst cold ever on one side of my face.

I'm going through the same thing right now. I go to the dentist quite often and can almost say I don't feel the needle anymore because I'm so used to it. This has never happened to me but I also have never had my front teeth worked on either. I needed a lot of freezing more than the average, I just find my front teeth are so much more sensitive to get worked on than the rest of them. It hasn't even been 12 hours since I've been to the dentist and already have a sore throat, burning nose in the inside/upper region... not a runny nose (yet) but I have to clear it quite often.

Right after leaving the dentist's office I got a really bad sore throat, then I developed all of the symptoms of a bad cold. My nose won't stop running, I have violent sneezing fits, my throat is sore, and I am coughing a lot. I called the dentist and she said she never heard of anything like this and it must just be a coincidence.
