I know usually you base your due date off of your LMP but thats not the case with mine. I usually have my cycle every 33 days. My last period was on December 17 and that would've put my due date at September 23 or 24, but when my ultrasound was done i was measured at my due date being October 1. Now the only times i had sex was on January 3 and January 8. I want to know if its possible to get pregnant on the same day you have sex for example if i had sex on the January 8 is that the day i became pregnant. I've also looked on various websites to see and intercourse on the January 8 put my due date to being October 1 if i used the other date my due date is in September. Can someone explain it to me please. AGAIN ITS NOT FOR DNA REASONS IT JUST GOT ME CONFUSED. Im currently 11weeks& 3 days

Hi Veronica,

You don't necessarily become pregnant the day you had sex.  There is about a 5 day window when you actually conceive.  The key is to knowing when EXACTLY you ovulate, as it is about a 48 hour window - max.

Implantation can take several days as well.

Your last period STARTED on December 17.  Normally, you'd ovulate between days 11 and 16 (28 day cycle) so probably a day or two later for you say days 13-19.  Sperm can survive about 5 days.

So, you would have likely ovulated between December 30 and January 5.  So having sex on the 3rd or 8th is pretty much within the window of opportunity to get pregnant.

You're looking at October.
