I'm a mother of 2 and have been having some weird symptoms for the past week. I just started the nuvaring in April and 2 wks after starting it I had to take omnicef for an infection. I didn't know it would interfere with the ring (I thought only oral contraceptives) & now for the past week I've been nauseous, tired, I'm retaining fluid (esp. in my eyes) & my lower tummy feels strange all the time (like something is pushing on my female organs). I don't remember having these symptoms with my other 2, but a friend who's pregnant said she could tell she was by the way sex felt. My husband & I had sex last night and it was really tender near my cervix (it also felt swollen) & he couldn't go in as far as he normally does. He said it felt different. Can you really tell your pregnant very early on by the way sex feels if you've had a negative preg. test?????

Hi hon: I just did some research and found the below link for you. It doesn't sound like you are pregnant, and usually other things tell you that your pregnant - you vagina CAN change as the pregnancy progresses but I would suspect in your case it is the side effects of the ring. Once you read them I think you will come too the same conclusion. Good luck, hope this helps you.
