Hi I'm a mother of three and my stomach has been messed up for a while, so it is hard for me to know if I'm pregnant. I usually start my peroid on the 22nd or 23rd of every month but this month I started what I thought was my peroid on the 18th and it only lasted one day and on the same day I had sex with my husband. I never had spotting or any other bleeding before or after my peroid. could it be possible that I'm pregnant? for two years I already had have nausea cramping upset stomach from acid reflex deiase. but since the 18th I've been feeling like my peroid is going to start but nothing happens.
uncertain what to do

Hi Dianna =)

I have noticed that sex will stop my period sometimes, or it may even cause it to temporarily become heavier...

You can take a 'First response early', or any other "EARLY" test now. They are accurate 4 days before your period, so they are super sensitive.

Please don't try to have a child at the age 18. I am sure you feel like it would be the right time but there is much more you have to think about before you decide to bring a child in the world. Think about this: Are you financially staple?-Are you married? Do you have health insurance? How are you going to provide for this newborn child? And so so so much more...Since you are only 18 and said "my man and I" instead of my husband and I... I can only make one assumption, That you guys are not staple enough to conceive right now and that you are not mentally capable to deal with the responsibility that comes along with having a child. I may be completely wrong though. I would also like to say that there is so much more you need to experience. However, I God gives a child then cherish him/her forever and care for he/she before yourself or anyone else. Now... You may need to see a doctor because if you are having abnormal pains in your stomach that is never good. Plus you mentioned that you had a short light period, everybody's body is different. I have gone months without having a period but wasn't pregnant. My sister had a period for 3months of her pregnancies. So you see everyone is different. If I was you though, I would go see a doctor every time you feel like something is wrong with your body.

I am 18 years old. and I am trying to get pregnant with my bf after i miscarried last month. We are not married, and we are stable with finances and a good relationship. So age really doesnt matter as long as you are mature enough to have a baby. But i was wondering if there is anything online that i could buy to help increase my chances of conceiving ? please

Hi, Just read the post about the 18 year old who wants to have a a baby. I just want to say. DO NOT listen to anyone who tells you not to have a baby at that age. It has nothing to do with them! Me and my Husband tried for a baby when i was 17 but didnt fall pregnant untill i was 19. I am now 21 with a healthy 21 month old boy who is my world. My age doesnt stop me caring for him any less than a 30 year old would. We are now trying for baby number 2. If you are in a stable relationship and you know you can afford to have a baby then go for it. If thats what you want and dont let anyone tell you otherwise! Baby dust to you, xxx

hi there just wanted to say im 18 and suffer from endometriosis my gyno and all my health doctors have told me to try and concive as this could be the only time i could get pregnant. i just wanted to say my best friend had her beautiful twins when she was 17 and she is the best m0ther to her girls. i think people who make judgements like the person up the top there is a bit rude. u do not no the situations that some of us younger mothers to b or trying to be are going through. just because you waited till u were married and such before you took the steps to having a child does not make you a better mother then us. i have suffered 3 misscariges in the last year so i no what loss is all about, my mother and partner are behind me 100 percent in any decison that i make. i think just because i am young it does not mean im not going to make a good mother.

I agree that one could love a child at any age. But, do not forget to go to college at some point. You will not regret doing both. College will teach you how to spell and write properly. Good luck.

That's not fair to tell someone when they should or shouldn't concieve, for all you know that are more finacially stable then you are. I was 19 when I had my son. We may have not been the most prepared for him but we love him and there isn't a day that goes by that he hasn't been provided for.

If you are married you have every right to want to have a child.  All girls wish to become mothers one day, but think about the well being of your child.  When you are a little older and more experienced in life.  You look at things differently.  It not that you will love the child any different but it is the way you raise your child that matters.

It does not matter your age.  Someone that is 18 might act older than someone that is 45.  As for if they have enought money and all that......Do any of us really know when we have enough money and all that to have a baby?!?!?  We never know what is going to happen from one day to the next.  My husband and I had 2 children before we got married and one after.  It is different for each person and if God wants them to have a baby they will.
