I have been diagnosed with Thrombocytosis, Mastocytosis, Myelofibrosis-Myeloid Metaplaisia, Fibromyalgia, and Osteoporosis. I have been treated off and on by Interferon, as well I am continuously on Oxycontin, Oxycodone, Xanax, Cymbalta. I am now suffering with profuse sweating. I wake several times during the night totally soaking wet from my head to my toes with my bed and pillow drenched. I look as though I have stood in the shower. This has been going on for over a year. However, recently I am experiencing profuse and prolonged head and facial sweating at various times throughout the day. It is driving me crazy! Is this related to any of the diseases I have or the medications I am taking (always as directed). I use Advil or Tylenol additionally when the meds do not help with the pain.
Recently my doctor mentioned a possibility of carcinoid syndrome and further testing. I know nothing about this, and frankly am so tired of all the tests. I was initially diagnosed at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, but since I live in MD, I am now going to Johns Hopkins.
Can you please help me? Could this be related to the confirmed diseases? I am at my wits end.
