I had cervical injections on Thursday and I spent all of last night Saturday)in the ER with a severe headache with they said was a migraine because of the injection. They gave me a migraine cocktail and and I felt some better and they sent me home. Now it is 12:30am on Monday and my headache is back in full force and ringing in my ears. I don't know what to do. I am in so much pain but do not want to wake my husband up to take me because he didn't get any sleep today after the night in the ER. I took Extra Strength Excedrin and Motrin and it has done nothing for my pain. My neck pain from my bulging discs and stenosis is better but this is worse than I could have imagined. I almost wish I hadn't done this :(

I too gained a lot of weight after cervical epidural. I experienced severe thirst for weeks, terrible pressure in my head, sick feeling like I was going to die each morning for approx. three days post procedure then I couldn't sit still, extremely thirsty, unable to sleep, felt crazy. I refused to have the other two procedures recommended by my pain management doctor. My bloodpressure also went very high during the procedure and my left side went numb temporarily. The pain is slowly returning again, but I was pain for several months after the procedure.

Yes I too had terrible digestive upset after the epidural procedure and my bowels stopped working on their own leaving me to resort to stimulants to defecate and they were regular prior to the procedure. I felt sick to my stomach quite a while post procedure which was eventually replaced with a ravenous appetite. I've been eating too well ever since.

i can not say this strong enough do not i mean do not have one of these injections done , there are some serious side effects like spinal headaches increased pain nausea dizziness i have all of these and the only answer i have gotten from the pain management doctor is well i guess we will not be doing anymore and i will give you the name of a neuro surgeon , the risk is not worth the possible short term relief you might get from this procedure avoid it all cost

I too am on Medicare and did not want these injections. Had my first ESI today. I am now extremely shaky, legs won't quit bouncing-which hurts my legs and back- my jaw is tight as my teeth seem to stay clenched . I feel like I am in a constant ongoing anxiety attack. Called hospital where procedure was done asking questions about this and they could not help me as the doctor and pain nurses had all gone for the day. I was told to call his office and even though he is not there someone could help me. I left a message on the machine. No one contacted me. I feel like I am crawling out of my skin! Sweating profusely at any given time, and all this tenseness in muscles and shaking is driving me insane. But have to go this route, take the injections. Why can't there be a less invasive approach? Why can't we try physical therapy , chiropractic care, something less traumatizing????

Hi! I'm Rose. I am concerned about my pregnant cousin. She got an anti-tetanus injection and now she is having headaches for four hours. Is that normal side-effect?
