Hi. I read your part about the other side hurting now. What did it end up being? I had a herniated disc with my C6 and a spur on top of the C7 that were squeezing the nerve between them. It destroyed my right arm's feeling/muscle tone/and grip in my hand meanwhile hurting constantly from base of neck all the way to the tips of my thumb and index finger. I had the surgery to fix it on Feb 7th. I am still having a pretty significant amount of pain with that right side while the nerve repairs, but now I am starting to get spiratic pains in my left arm. Sorry for the long post, but your situation is the only one I saw similar

HI, I was driving an 18 wheeler at aprox 10 mph slow down when a 18 wheeler behind me was not looking and hit me at about 50 mph then hits me a second time with his foot on brake before we stop. Final result was c5 to c7 disc removal with spinal cord damage . Have pain day and night . Take 5 mg of valium 3 to 5 times per day. still have spasms in arms and no fine motor skills in hands lower back pain and leg leg muscle loss. Had a 25% whole body impairment rating from surgeon. Surgery was my only option as therapy goes got worst instead of improving after surgery. They call it spinal myelopathy. Good Luck. I had one of best surgeon in world. Shartz is his name and he moved to cincinnati.

HI, I am about 12 years out from my 1st of 3 neck fusions. After the first one c5-6-7 I to had stiff neck and shoulder pain. The doctors did not say anything about physical therapy however I thought maybe it would help. I ended up going for about 6 months and it was the best thing I ever did!!!! I highly recommend getting some physical therapy. The pain went away and she even got back 85 percent of my range of motion!
