my suggestion is to see a new DR. if what you have is what I think you will possibly need surgery .if the problem doesn't show on a MRI ask about a MILAGRAM they have been known to show the problem areas .hope this helps .

I hope that you have found relief. If not, technology has come a long way. Look into the Laser Spine Institute. I am exactly 1 month away from surgery; c4,c5,c6,c7. This will be my 2nd spine surgery. 1st was 7 years ago, c6,c7. Fusion failure.
Good luck

Just had 2nd Fusion/ Discectomy plus many other surgeries in last 24 years. Have suffered thru alot of pain, frustration ect hoping this surgery will help at least so I can function. I had a fusion/discectomy of c-6 thru t-1 already have c-3 to c-6 double fusion went thru front first time but went thru back this time plus I was very compressed. It has been 1 month since surgury and the numbness and tingling is almost completely gone. Dr said I still swollen it would take time for everything to mellow out. The most important thing is having an excellent Dr that knows what he's doing so do your homework.

I had spinal fusion surgery on my C5, C6 discs 10 months ago. I finally have most use of my hands but nothing like it was before surgery. I spent 4 weeks in a rehab center to learn how to walk with a walker and use my hands again. I can't reach above my shoulders. I have constant pains in my shoulders, arms and the back of my hands. I will go for an EMG nerve and muscle test this week hoping to find a problem. If I sit for a half hour I have trouble walking and need a cane.

Hello, im 46. 5 years ago I woke up in the hospital with a broken neck, nose, and dislocated jaw with all my flesh and bottom lip torn off my face. LoL, they said it was a bike injury. They never could find the bike. My wallet was gone. All my money was gone. After years of pondering I'm convinced that I was assaulted , and robbed, beaten, left for dead! The ambulance Co. Couldn't produce any info. I suffer from P.T.S.D. I cannot get Drs. To listen to my pain needs or my psyche needs. I'm falling and fast. Terrified ! My life is ruined and at very best over. I guess in a way this could be a Dr. Kevorkian request or a suicide note . All due RESPECT to everyone where is the humanity in this dreadful world we call home. Everyday I strive to hang onto my sanity. This is such a scary ordeal . Nowhere to turn.. relatives have all died. Kids are irresponsible and treat it as " no big deal." So where do we go from here... Strait to hell it seems. J.Murray Stockton,Ca.

Hello, I noticed that many replies are from 2020 and before. Just wondering how many were successful or found some relief? I have an upcoming consult with a 2nd neurosurgeon before having an Anterior Cervical Dicectomy and Fusion C4-C-7. The 1st neurosurgeon referred me to a speciality hospital because of extensive cervical reconstruction. Also, should I plan to stay for several days? I am 58 with insulin diabetes, hypertension, overweight, etc. This will be major surgery #13 and I do not do well with anesthesia. Any helpful suggestions are appreciated.

It sounds like out be are kind of the same. However my neurosurgeon told me that I was a 5050 chance with the surgery so I told him I would We get to a point we have to ask ourselves, "is it bad enough to take that chance." I am very sorry that you're living with these issues and wish you the best of luck. I would for sure, check into those RF treatments They will help you a lot.
