Pain usually right center in chest but sometimes also on right center but lots of tightness around center. Pressure off and on across chest. Feel like I can't get enough air and labored breathing. Heart palpatations. Some headaches. Fair amount of fatigue.
I am 46 and usually the leader of the pack but now my walking speed is about half and it is hard to finish a sentence without needing an extra breath. Sudden onset 2 weeks ago. After 24 hr. holter and echocardiogram that showed a bit of Early Ventricular Contractions but nothing else, sent home from doctor's office with rx for nitro. Symptoms subsided some till a week ago when had to take 2 nitro one night before could sleep. Next morning, extreme fatigue, very labored breathing, heart palps, headache, sweats. Took 2 nitro and ambulance took me to hospital with 3rd nitro. EKG showed some EVC but no other issues. Chest xray, EKG's negative. Admitted for gallbladder and other organ ultrasound (negative) plus Catheritization which showed EVC and myocardial bridging but no real concern expressed. Multiple blood tests show excellent health.
Released till breathing got labored again and pulmonary function test ordered with bronchodilator, but again, excellent.
So, long story short, my body is in fantastic health but still very short of breath and chest pressure with no real change between activity or position or time or diet. No changes to diet, exercise (3-4 times a week normally but can't now), meds, stress and no recent injury or trauma. Not reflux or anxiety.
Getting a second opinion at Hopkins soon but everything is affected for now.
Any suggestions?
