On Wednesday morning I woke up at 4am to grab a drink or water. Upon my return to bed I felt ean extreme tightnedd in my chest, arms, and legs went numb (kind of like they fell asleep) and I began to feel very warm. I went to the hospital where they did an ECG. They said the ECG was abnormal and proceeded to do bloodwork and monitor my blood pressure. Everything came back perfect and the released me. They got me an appointment wit a heart specialist 1 week from the incident. My heart feels weird like the way you feel when you pull a muscle. The hospital must think I am ok to send me home but this muscle strain type of pain worries me. Any suggestions on what this may be?

Our minds can play tricks on us. Usually, we believe that what is wrong, is amplified to something that it really isn't. A doctor's reassurance is typically the antidote. For me, like you, I was convinced that something was wrong with my stomach. I would get cramps and a tightness that I couldn't ignore. After awhile, it went away. I stopped dwelling on what could be wrong and went on with life.
