I am 21 weeks pregnant and was diagnosed with chlamydia 18 days ago. I took 2 azithromycin pills prescribed as directed all at once the day I found out. My boyfriend got his treatment 3 to 5 days after. It was twelve days after treatment for me and a week at minmimum for him before we had sex with eachother again. We used a condom and used it correctly with no failure. there was no contact without it. I am wondering and worrying if we waited long enough. Neither of us ever had symptoms. I have another gyn appointment tomorrow and am also not sure how long it takes to no longer show up in urine and pap smear tests. I know condoms are about sixty percent effective for this sti and I do not want to be intimate with him again until I know it is gone. We are monogomous and he will be tested again if I am still positive. Any insight? Please share! also please do not pass judgement.
