My little grandson is suffering from chronic bronchitis. To be honest, I never had this kind of trouble when I was a kid. Then again, we grew up in a healthier and natural environment, not like kids today. Still I feel very sorry for little one, especially when I see him coughing and heavily breathing. How serious chronic bronchitis really is?

Well it is nothing that cannot be controlled with proper medicaments and therapy. Chronic bronchitis belongs to chronic obstructive disease. It is characterized with chronic secretion of bronchial fluids which, when accumulated, cause coughing that lasts for 3 months a year, two years in a row. There are several forms of this condition: simple form, obstructive and purulent one. All forms are treatable.
