Ok ladies i had an cone byiopsy three days ago all went well, after i experienced no bleeding just yellow discharge(solution) no cramps and felt perfectly fine however day three small clumps of flesh like brown discharge passed out making me freak that the cervix has fallen out! Luckily ispoke to my surgeon who saw me the next morning he said it was residue from the solution and cleaned out the area and stated my cervix was fine he hadnt however seen that before and the nurses face like she almost colapsed too. He said only to go to a&e if i start to heavily bleed
Hopefully i am ok and just a routine check now in 6 months

Definitely need to wear a pad for an 1 week after your procedure. Luckily my Dr was very informative. The yellow stuff coming out is normal from the monsel solution. Sometimes it takes several days to completely come out of I n may feel like a tampon. Unfortunately U must go through this especially if U have HPV

Thank you so much!!! I had my colposcopy on Thursday. Just a few minutes ago I went to the bathroom and felt this large thing that looks like gauze come out of me. Totally freaked me out!!! Thank god for this site. I was never told this could happen.

Thank you for sharing. I am actually going through the same thing right now. I'm 7 weeks and had a colposcopy on Friday. This morning I had a faint spell and couple hours later something very weird came out of me. Orangery kinda transparent with specks of brown. There was light spotting earlier but not enough to think I was miscarriaging and there was no pain. I called my doctor and they told me to call them should I bleed heavily so I'm crossing my fingers that it's the Monsels solution finally coming out.

Seriously?? I'm a FULLY educated medical professional with degrees. Even "I" never have heard/read of such an occurrence, which is why many of these women are on here and similar sites for the "education " ( which you, obviously, did not bring with you in this post). Try that next time. Thanks

You guys I am so relieved to read all of these posts. I had a colposcopy Friday morning and I just had a globby substance drop out of me in the toilet as I was using the restroom Sunday afternoon. It didn't hurt or anything and it looked like tissue clumped with blood or cotton swab. After coming on this website and reading everybody else's posts I feel relieved in knowing this is a totally normal post-procedure occurrence. The Dr. also did not warn me of this...just that there would be coffee ground like discharge. Maybe it better not to know it's coming until after it happens, because it is kinda gross....lol. Best to just flush it away.

I had my first colposcopy 4 days ago and just passed what looks like a condom, 4.5 inches long, maybe 2 inches in width. Very scary! It looks just as most people have been describing. Like thin tissue in the shape of the inside of my vagina (I can only assume that's the what the inside of my vagina looks like) Orange-tan like color, with coffee grounds in it. My GYN told me that I would have coffee grounds and yellow discharge but nothing that looks like this abomination that just exited my body. My first thoughts were: did my insides just slough off & what did the doc leave in there! Immediately I called my GYN's office, of course this happened after hours so I may incur the $25 on-call charge. The nurse that responded did not know what this was and asked me to text her a picture. Still waiting for a response. Hopefully, I will not incur the $25 non-emergent on-call fee. I plan to fight it because of my GYN's lack of information which lead me to freak out. I think any sane person would consider their insides falling out an emergency. Thank goodness I found this site and remembered that the GYN used Monsel's paste.

I feel the same way. My procedure was yesterday and I feel so nasty. I feel like I'm glued shut and I know I just need to wait a bit longer and I should pass something in another day or two, but I feel absolutely disgusting and have a burning sensation. I just can't wait to be past this torturous experience.

Can you stick your finger in there and grab it out ? Or do you wait for it to come out?
