It may be caused by the vinegar they administer in the beginning. The lady stated that sometimes the skin reacts to the vinegar and then sheds a layer of skin.
Hope this helps. Ill still be calling my doctor in the morning!!!!

the first colpo I ever had about 4-5 years ago, I never remember having this happen so this time around I was freaked out. But apparently it's normal according to what you're all saying! Mine was very slightly yellow/off white tinted with a couple speckles in it. Glad to know this is normal thanks everyone

I had my colposcopy on a Tuesday. The doctor told me that this was "just an office procedure" and "not a big deal". The procedure itself took only 15 minutes and the vinger solution burned when applied during the procedure. The doctor/nurse told me to expect brownish drainage for about 2 days and told me that I would need to wear a pad for a couple of days. The solution that was used to stop the bleeding of the biopsy site performed during the procedure (i.e. Monsel's solution) burned my vagina and labia severely for the next 2 days as it dripped out of me. For the 2 days after the procedure, I did not have any cramping or bleeding, but had severe burning in my vagina and on my labia. The solution then turned to a brown, hardened glaze which coated my vagina and labia and was very uncomfortable--it still burned and was very hard, feeling like cement. My area was nearly "cemented" shut with this stuff and I could not even fit a pinky finger up "there". I called my doctor's office and they were not able to offer any advice. I tried on numerous occcasions to soak in a tub and tried to pick the hardeded yellow/brown glaze out of me, but only felt about 50% relieved. On the 3rd day after the procedure, I was able to go about my usual daily functions without the burning sensation which had been problematic for me, but I still felt as if I had a hardened tampon somewhere up there, but was tired of "picking" that stuff out of my vagina. Exactly one week after my procedure, I experienced cramping and when I was in the bathroom bearing down for a bowel movement, I felt like a tampon was protruding out. I reached my finger up there and pulled out a very large, long, thick tan sack-like object about the the size and shape of a DVD remote. Once I saw this, I nearly passed out--it was so disguisting. It was thick, tan, and one end actually looked like a fish spine with eyelash-like indentations and the other end had coffee-ground like material. I haven't had sexual intercourse, or douched, or put anything up in my vagina since the procedure . I am having a lot of cramping (no bleeding) now and am very disturbed about what just came out of me. The doctor never prepared me for this. My vagina has a metallic-like smell and from what I understand the Monsel's solution is made of a iron substance. From what I understand this substance that came out of me is a combination of the following: sloughing of cervical tissue from a reaction to the vinger solution, some paste-like material from the Monsel's solution, and some blood clots from the procedure. Thank goodness for this blog site! Doctor's should be required to inform women of the truth of what to expect after this procedure....
