Other conditions of Myocarditis are: 
*Fulminant Myocarditis: Initial stages are marked by symptoms of viral disease, followed by the distinct onset of illness, with severe cardiovascular issues like ventricular dysfunction. It either resolves spontaneously or could be fatal. 
*Acute Myocarditis: The onset of illness in this case is less distinct, ventricular dysfunction also occurs which may lead to dilated cardiomyopathy. 
*Chronic Active Myocarditis: Less distinct onset of illness, clinical relapse i.e the condition worsening again after signs of initial recovery. Ventricular Dysfunction also occurs along with chronic inflammatory changes. 
*Chronic Persistent Myocarditis: This is the advanced stage of the disease characterized by myocyte necrosis or death of the tissue of the heart without ventricular dysfunction even though the symptoms such as chest pain and palpitations are present.
