According to a consensus statement issued in the summer of 2007 by the American Cancer Society, the Gynecologic Cancer Foundation, and the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists, recent medical studies have positively identified symptoms for ovarian cancer, even at the early stages. The most common symptoms include abdominal bloating, pelvic or abdominal pain, trouble eating or feeling full quickly, urinary urgency or frequent urination. While each of these symptoms may be indicative of other common illnesses, the possibility for ovarian cancer should be considered if these symptoms are present almost daily, and if they last for more than a few weeks.
