I believe it is possible. I also believe this is increasingly becoming more common. I certainly understand your skepticism. Professional athletes are often under a cloud of suspicion concerning the use of performance enhancing drugs. Dara Torres is certainly no exception. However, people do age at different rates. At one extreme are many of the centenarians who remain healthy and functional until the day they die. At the other extreme are the Progeria children who age 10 times faster than normal people do, and few of them will live beyond 14 years. The rest of us fall somewhere in between. Therefore, chronological age does not necessarily reflect biological age. It is possible for Dara Torres, who at age 41, to have a biological age of say, 20. Looking at her muscular, chiseled body, and her youthful face in your picture, she certainly can pass for somebody much younger. With advances in medical research, people nowadays are far more knowledgeable about their own health and wellbeings than previous generations, and they often successfully exploit such knowledge to delay age-related diseases and disabilities.
