Hi. I am suffering from ADHD and I take Concerta. I feel anxiety and think Concerta may be the cause of that problem. I would like to hear more about Concerta - anxiety relation from somebody with experience.

Hi. I take Concerta to treat narcolepsy. Anxiety is not a side effect of Concerta, but I know you shouldn`t take the med if you feel like that. Concerta gives me tics but my doctor told me tics are less serious side effect and that I should continue with the treatment. He also told me that I musn`t take Concerta with Marplan, Nardil, or Pernate and that I should tell him before trying any over-the-counter med, including herbal products.

Hi all.
I am an anxiety sufferer for 4 years now, atleast as far as i could remember. i just started using concerta, and today i took 36mg concerta with aspen escicitalopram 10mg and the whole day i have been having anxiety attacks. i don't want to stop the concerta because it has helped me remember and concentrate so well, it is great. but initially i was prescirbed it, to defeat the anxiety, but after diagnosis i realised that it shouldn't be taken for severe anxiety. that is why we are all getting angry, and edgy, i am in a situation though, because when i take meds that calm me down, i can't talk, and when i take meds that hype me up, i'm arrogant.
So does anyone know if concerta is really worth taking? because to be quite honest, i can't afford to keep chopping and changing meds, the reality is though, meds stop working after a while, wonder why i'm not depressed, but i'm reminded by myself, that the anti deppressants do that.
Last night was hell though, i took concerta in the afternoon, and couldn't sleep the whole night, ontop of it, i'm anxious now, lacking sleep, and i wonder if i wasted my money on these meds or not.
