my friend has a last menstrual period of april 19, 2012,, but she having sex with his boyfriend the day before or 2 days before her period... but she still have sex with other guy on may 3, 2012..she visited to a doctor on july 13, 2012.. according to the ultrasound she was 11weeks and 1 day pregnant..she was confused who is the father of the baby.. can you help me explain to her...how many days will the baby form after the intercourse? will it takes a weeks? thanks

You need to be very clear as to dates. Don't go by the date from the ultrasound. It is an APPROXIMATE date, not specific. Everything develops differently and at different rates.
It is unlikely she got pregnant having sex before April 19.
Who is the "other guy?" May 3rd is a definite possibility.

Bad news. It favors it being the ex on May 3rd. Why? Normally you ovulate between about days 11-16. May 3rd is in the middle. The egg is only viable about 48 hours after ovulation so by May 7 she likely wouldn't be fertile and having sex after then she would not be likely to conceive.
Yes it is harder to calculate with irregular periods.
A DNA test will be the only definitive way to be sure but as I said, it looks very much like the ex-boyfriend is the father.

Normally your doctor would begin counting pregnancy from the last menstrual cycle - because most women know that date.
So, you may have gotten pregnant on May 3rd but the doctor would say it would be from April 19, or about a 2 week difference.

It doesn't matter if she had sex prior to her last period in April. If it was a normal period then it would be unlikely that she was pregnant then. Most likely, she would conceive around the first week of May.

as what i read you will still get pregnant if you have sex a day or 2 days before your period. and my friend has concern also coz on april 18 she had spotting and last april 19 is not ordinary spot

It is almost impossible to get pregnant just before your period is due. The egg is NOT viable. You're going to be getting rid of it during your period anyways.
