If you gave him a scare, give him space and let him figure it out. Let him miss you. Might be a good idea to let him make the next move. In the meantime, get a few phone numbers and have a date or two. You shouldn't have to wait around for him if you aren't in a serious relationship. Go have some fun and that might put a fire under his butt to make a choice.

I agree with you saying to give the guy more time, but for her to date someone else is not the thing to do. This will just further complicate the situation. If you love him, give him some time and if it doesn`t change then, maybe ending it would be the right move.
