What should I know about the congenital anomalies of the ear – how often does that happen? My grandparents both had problems with hearing, although this was due to illnesses in their childhood, they were not born with it. Anyway, is there any danger for my unborn baby (I am in a third moth of pregnancy)?

Well, there is always a hereditary risk present when it comes to hearing problems. Still, your grandparents got those issues later in life and this might mean that genetically, your baby should be safe. As for the other possibilities, I think that you should ask your doctor about the procedures that might be done in order to determine if there is anything wrong with your baby.
