I'm 40 y/o and I haven't had my period in almost five years, I was diagnosed with premature ovarian failure, and I'm too havinf cramps and brown dishcarged. My gyn has me scheduled for a D&C and hysteroscopy, I'm scared because I have a little girl and I want to be here for her, but I'm going through the steps and reading a lot, praying a lot. You sound alot like me....I too have Premature Ovarian Failure. I am 44 and have been on bioidentical hormones for a year. I have not had a period in over a year. Two weeks ago my breasts were so sore I couldn't stand it. Then this past friday I noticed very light spotting. I went to the Dr for yearly exam and would never have even mentioned it. During the exam he saw the brown blood in my cervix and became very concerned. Now I am scheduled for a pelvic sonogram. He mentioned I would most likely need a biopsy too. If that wasn't scary enough two days later I started having cramps and left sided ovary pain (like pinching, ovulation) and now I have what appears to be a period. I am so freaked out. I worked in the medical field for years and know just enough to scare myself. Did you have all your tests done yet? Did you have an ultrasound? How did everything turn out...
