Hi,
I have been having trouble the last 3 or so months with cramping in my very low abdominal area. I am a female. I take birth control pills continuously - therefore, even though I am in my 30's, I do not have a period. Every once in a while, I may have spotting. But the reason I take the birth control pills is because if I don't and I have a period, I get severe menstrual migraines.

This bout with the cramping was bad. Sometimes I will cramp and I do not have to use the bathroom, and other times I do. My BMs are normal and happen at normal intervals. There is no blood or anything else. It is just the cramping that is getting me. It gets so bad sometimes that I am afraid to go to work for fear that I will have a "cramping attack" and will have to go sit in the restroom for a while.

I have mashed around all over my stomach and abdomen and feel no lumps of any kind. When I was having the cramping, if I pressed on my very low abdominal area a little left of my midline, something would hurt. But it was a hurt like something was irritated in there - no sharp pain or anything - just uncomfortable.

I am wondering if this has anything to do with my hormones. I was having a little spotting. Can you abdoment get sort of inflammed or irritated when your hormones levels change (ie. during your period)? It wasn't gas and I wasn't constipated either. I have an appt. for my yearly visit in a month. But was just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience. My paps and gyn exams have always been perfect with no problems. And I religiously go to my appts. once a year without fail.

Thanks for any opinions and/or advise.
