I have these too. I thought might be worn follicle scars like old zit scars. If follicles get irritated they can get like zits and have pus come out of them.However, this is just an asumption, I`m not sure at all.

Alright so ive been dealing with this for a while myself. Im not a doctor however yall need to calm down and look at what your dealing with rationally. The assumption of a damaged follicle or pours is a safe one. The evidence is right there. The descriptions from most state that most have had a hair in the middle of the crater. Some say there is pus, while others had a bump at first. Inflamed penile tissues are very sensitive obviously. You shouldn't go freezing squeezing or itching the bumps when they occur wait them out and maybe a light ice or heat compress or a mixture of both. Problem persists go to the dr. Not the internet. Dermatologists like most dr.s will try and clean you up quick. Dont go with the first suggestion or method. Get a second professional opinion as the first one may be bad business looking for your reoccuring visits. Hope this helps.

Alright, so I think I may know what is causing it, I'm not a doctor and all but this is a guess. If you have pubic hair, take a look near the area of the craters, now look at the smaill hairs near it, I feel as if the hairs are causing it by being stretched out. I don't know, can someone actually answer what this actually is? Please?

I am almost 50 years old. I noticed craters on the underside of my shaft as a teenager. I think they have always been there in some shape or form, just didn't notice it when I was a young kid. It has caused me much anxiety, especially as a teen. Felt like a total freak. Mine are dark and pretty noticeable and I have about ten of them. Some have hairs growing out of them to make it worse. I do have to say that I've had a pretty normal sex life after I got over some of my anxiety.....I dated nice looking girls/ladies and one day in the car my girlfriend took off my shorts for some fun....it was sunny outside and she saw the craters and was somewhat shocked or surprised. She still had some fun and she later teased me about them and said "craters, craters!". It still caused me anxiety but she made me feel better. I've mostly kept my sexual encounters to the night so the lights are dim, candles are the light source or the TV so the lady wouldn't notice.
They don't go away....at least mine never will, unless I get radical plastic surgery. I had one doctor say "It's normal. Does it bother you?" Well, it did bother me and still does.
But the good news is that you are not alone and many females are pretty forgiving about it. See a doctor for real advice but don't let it bother you to the point of depression. I've got hairs all over my shaft, craters, and even blackheads in the damn craters and somehow I've managed a mostly normal sex life.

I have had these for about 7 years, I am nearly 20 now. Mine have gotten steadily worse since they started appearing, and now the underside of my penis looks pretty grotesque. At first they looked like fordyce spots, and some still do, but many developed and folded under themselves and are surrounded by these well-defined craters. They've never hurt but have caused the skin on the underside of my penis to become quite misshapen and deformed. I don't know what this is, but it seems like some sort of slow, superficial flesh-eating and misshaping disease that is absolutely evil. I am finally going to a dermatologist and I pray to God that I'll find out how to fix them. If and when I find the answer, I will report back here. To anyone reading this who has the same issue, maybe(hopefully) in an earlier stage, I would say see a doctor soon. Don't procrastinate it and don't be in denial about it like I did, because it has affected my life in innumerable ways. There is no shame in going to see a doctor, and as they say, things are always worse in your head. I always had semi-nightmares about showing these to a doctor, and when I finally did it, it was easy and not emotionally painful one bit. I realized that I was a fool for not acting and hoping that they would improve on their own, and suffered the consequences. Do not be like me. Also, no matter how developed this skin disease is in you, it is never too late to see a doctor about it; doctors see weird looking genitals all the time and are totally chill about it.
