Hi Elizabeth, I have one on my right ovary too, (annoying isn't it?) Are you premenstrual, or just ending your period? That is when mine bothers me the most, right before and after my period, when the hormones are fluctuating the the most. It could be that yours is getting ready to burst, if it does it will be pretty painful, (like curl up on the couch/bed, dig your fist into your side and hold your breath painful) and then it will go away, and then be tender for a couple days, & unless it reforms you probably won't have any issues again. You should have your gyn check it yearly when you go in for your pap, just to make sure nothing has changed with it. I hope this helped. Good luck.

Well I recently went off birth control again because it messes with my body and giving me migranes and dizzyness. So I had a somewhat period. But whenever I ovulate or at the beginning of my period I get the pain. But this time was different I really have never had pressure. But I was just in the er like over a month ago for some other reasons but when they did and ultra sound and ct scan they said I still had my cyst and everything is fine. I don't have health insurance and so where I go to get my paps is not a regular place where they can do ultra sounds and stuff. But thank you for the information. But I heard when your cyst burst you should go to the hospital because it can cause an infection

I am not aware of any infection that you could get from a cyst bursting, as it is usually just full of blood, so it doesn't contain anything that would cause infection. The pressure could be that it is growing in size in preparation to burst, it will feel like pressure and increase in pain until it does.

not at all, even if in the worst case scenario you had to have your ovary removed for some bizarre reason, you would still ovulate every month from the other one. yay we have two!!! I hope this has been helpful, and eased some of your concerns. :-)
